  • Episode 12: Paul Piercing Yourself

    June 7th, 2019  |  1 hr 12 mins

Things we discussed: Moose kept the boys up way too late, which gave Ben and Nate a chance to misbehave (drink) before recording. Nate and Moose discuss the dangers of actual moose on the roads. We eventually get to sports, mainly basketball. Lots of over/unders in this one. Nate and Moose get into it about credit unions vs banks, because of course they did. After these guys get through the NBA Finals talk, we talk about Ben's wedding. Ben says Rachel is stressing HARD. Moose gives Ben some input on his potential travel plans. Ben gives Nate his drinking limits before the best man speech, and the guys chat it up about whether Ben can stay off the beers before the wedding. Ben finds one of his favorite video games from his childhood (which was a long time ago), and the guys discuss tech-decks, and their favorite video games that still hold water. Ben plays the trumpet again, waking up the neighbors for the second time between midnight and 1:15am. Thanks for listening!

  • Episode 11: Peeling Benanas

    May 31st, 2019  |  1 hr 6 mins

The boys are back! Ben inches closer and closer to his next big blackout (his wedding night). The NBA Finals are set! How do the two teams match up? Are the Warriors actually better off without Kevin Durant on the court? And what predictions will the guys have? Switching topics to the MLB: is the NL Central good, or? The Boston Red Sox are back.* The Twinkies are on top, somehow, and the A's went on one hell of a streak. The Stanley Cup Finals are starting to heat up, and will have played two games by the time this episode airs. Then we discuss our favorite action movies, and other media suggestions!

Ben gives his thoughts on the GOT ending, and Moose is not pleased with how one of the show hosts have not seen the Rocky films. Then media recommendations!

  • Episode 9: That Place New Orleans

Things we talked about: We welcome our guest "Matt from Maine" on this show. It's time for Ben's bachelor party! Nate's mom totally throws her own son and Moose under the bus. Ben has a nice little piece of trivia for the masses. A little NBA draft talk. The guys discuss the Lakers new head coach, and somehow end up talking about Roy Hibbert. Nate gives an update on the Wednesday night game between the Cubs and Reds. A little MLB talk, include the fact that no one knows where Dallas Kuechel will end up. Somehow we end up talking about our favorite water parks. Aquaboggan is a thing? Moose doesn't explain it very well, and also apparently isn't a wavepool guy. We lost Ben for a solid few seconds. Ben is a huge proponent of Holiday World, and Nate's home state is the home of the world's largest water park. Nate tries to give Max Kellerman a rare break, and the guys don't back him up. Nate comes out of the closet as a Romosexual, and Matt finds himself in that category as well. Nate also makes a terrible comment about Paul Walker, and feels pretty bad about it. Moose reminds Nate of him calling Elliot (from Scrubs) the hottest on the show. Ben is a trumpeting guru, as he plays us off with some Game of Thrones!

  • Episode 8: The Big (Five Dollar) Short

    May 10th, 2019  |  55 mins 33 secs

Call your mom right now and tell her happy Mother's Day! Ben has had one hell of a week of traveling, and Nate threw a party at Ben’s place while he was gone. Nate won and then lost a little bit of money on The Derby. After horsing around, the guys hop into basketball talk. Everyone should fear the deer. Moose sticks up for Paul Pierce after the Celtics got whooped. Is Kawhi Leonard the best player in basketball? Is Max Kellerman smarter than a houseplant? Will the Nuggets actually get into the conference finals? Someone allegedly has been shorting their rent each month by 5 bucks. A little talk about stick-n-puck, mixed with a little bit of baseball, and we give a shout out to those who celebrate Ramadan! Ramadan Kareem! Call your mom!

Moose disagrees on how to deal with it. The guys break down where we sit in the NBA playoffs and a very brief summary of the NFL draft. How comfortable can you be with a first round pick from Alabama State? Nate sits the kids down and tells the tale of how the Reds gave birth to the Boston Red Sox. Also, Nate can't get into Superhero movies. Ben drops a HARD F-bomb and admits that his grandmother listens to our show. Moose claims to be the Gronk of intramural sports and Ben sends everyone off with a Cinco De Mayo greeting!

The guys are going to do their egg shot this weekend, so make sure you stay tuned to our social media pages to watch it unfold. With the weather heating up, the guys give their favorite summertime drinks. Nate reviews a "Naturday" on air. Ben doesn't know who Vlad Guerrero, or his son, is. Nate and Moose trade opinions on the Giant's first round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Ben wants you to get off your phone, Moose wants you to watch a documentary about Motley Crue, and Nate wants you to watch videos of "furries." Just another fun filled episode of Everyone Has A Sports Podcast!

  • Episode 5: Fantasy Foursomes

Things we talked about: Nate drove an ungodly amount of hours this weekend, and Ben found his way riding shotgun through the hills of West Virginia. Ben tells of the tragedy that awaited him after going a little too hard on the dance floor (a massive pain in the ass). Nate borrowed a golf cart for a little nighttime joyride, and got emotional when Tiger won the Masters. Ben explains the incredible comeback from Tiger Wood's, and the significance of it, and Moose shows that it wasn't a HUGE shock that he ended up winning another major-even this one. The guys give their fantasy -golfing- foursomes. Moose breaks down the NBA, Nate called the Columbus Blue Jacket's first round victory over Tampa Bay, and we check out some media recommendations!

    Things we talked about:

On episode 4 of the show, the guys discuss their WrestleMania 35 experiences, which comprised of Nate watching a highlight reel of who won and reading one article from Forbes that made him seem knowledgeable on the topic. Ben has a cold, and is driving to Virginia with Nate this weekend. It snowed again in Maine, and Moose isn't too pleased with it. The guys also discuss their previous spicy bet, and who ended up winning (not even close, tbh). Ben describes his long-term resentment for D-Wade, and Moose makes a strong argument for who is better between Wade and Dirk. Then, for fun, we break down all of the first round NBA playoff matches, and sprinkle a little hockey in there too. Ben talks more G.O.T., Moose has another cooking show for you to watch, and Nate discusses Spotify Sessions covers.

  • Episode 3: Kareem Abul Jabbar

    April 5th, 2019  |  56 mins 19 secs
amateur, college hoops, march madness, mlb, nba, ncaa, nfl, sports, sports podcast, wrestlemania, wwe

Things We Talked About: Who is going to do the egg shot now that everyone's bracket is busted? Nate reveals that he knows very little about the NBA, and some of it's greatest players, and Ben reveals that he knows very little about the MLB, or how to pronounce Red's CF Scott Schebler's name. The guys discuss the biggest surprises through the first week of the MLB, including how the Marlin's stadium is normal(?) now, and that the Red Sox are getting off to a very slow start.

Then, the gentlemen have their NBA all time top-5 revealed, and Moose suggests that they make another edible wager. Then, media recommendations! Hopefully Nate and Ben don't blow all of their money (what money?) at the horsetrack this weekend!

  • Episode 2: The Window of Fertility

    March 29th, 2019  |  46 mins 37 secs
broadcasting, bucks, cbs, college basketball, college hoops, college sports, duke, everyone has a sports podcast, giannis, gronk, harden, houston, injuries, kentucky, listener questions, march madness, media recommendations, ncaa, nfl, retiring, rockets, sport, sports, sports podcast, sports podcasts, tacko fall, ucf, zion williamson, zurcic injury

Things we talked about: The guys discuss their bracket bet from episode one, and it isn't looking too rosy for two thirds of the show, especially for Nate. Discussions begin about the biggest surprises of the tournament's first two rounds, mostly about UCF nearly taking down the Blue Devils. Moose reminds Nate about Johnny Dawkins' impressive playing career, and Ben has a strong take on Tacko Fall's future transition to professional basketball. The gang probably talked a little too much about Duke, but they balanced it out with some discussion about the only team as insufferable as the Durham Blue Devils: the Kentucky Wildcats.

Gronk is gone, and that sums up most of what we talk about during the NFL segment of the show, baseball is back (but we won't dive in until the Yankee's are 0-6 by next Friday), and the NBA portion of the show centers around broken bones and the MVP race. The fellahs take questions from the audience, and they give their recommendations for the week!

As always, leave a rating and review (5 stars or just forget it), send in your questions to the guy's twitters: @NateMetz @Cody_Moose and @Piercefield3, and visit Stove Leg's main page at StoveLeg.com.
